Viking Lake State Park's spacious campground is one of the most popular in southwest Iowa. The campground offers 120 campsites, 94 of which have electrical hookups. The park provides access to modern restrooms and showers, as well as a dump station. Picnicking is convenient and fun at this beautiful park with scenic views and excellent picnic amenities. Also enjoy hiking on the park's six miles of trails through nature at its best. Some of these trails can also be used for snowmobiling during the winter.

The 137-acre lake on the property provides hours of swimming, boating and fishing fun to visitors, complete with a sandy beach for your sunbathing and relaxing needs.
